Shadow seemed to know almost immediately when we got pregnant. He was very protective of me and often wanted to sleep on my belly or against me...this was unusual because he typically sleeps with Mark. Shadow definitely prefers to be the only cat and thinks of himself as the baby of the family so we were really concerned about bringing Ryan home. Fortunately, Shadow has done great! He doesn't particularly like the baby, but he tolerates him quite well.
