Our first Official Doctor Appointment...

We had our first official appointment with our doctor today (2nd medical appointment). Daddy and I were very excited. We are doing great! I haven't gained any weight and you are definitely growing. We had very high hopes of getting to hear your heartbeat today, but you weren't cooperating. It worked out great! Our doctor was so compassionate and knew that we were concerned, so she pulled in an old ultrasound machine and quickly set about finding your heartbeat. It immediately became clear that you are just fine! You were just moving around too much to be able to locate you on the doppler. You are still very tiny and seem to be exploring every inch of your space. The image on the machine wasn't very good, so details were not clear, but your little heart was beating very strong. The doctor chuckled said, "with a baby that active, we don't have to worry about their heart." You already have Mommy and Daddy amazed!

On Thursday, we are scheduled to go for our Nuchal Translucency Scan (NT)...Mommy is a little nervous, but we are very excited that we will get to see you on the ultrasound again. The next one will be on better equipment, so we expect to get to see you a little better. That's a lot to look forward to!
